Spear point camp knife, African rosewood

 

Recycled from an older circular saw (8670 tool steel) from a mill in Southern Oregon, just under 3/16th thick, reground, oil heat treated, tempered and etched. Blade is flat ground with a convex edge, etch is permanent. Steel hardness 59-60 Rc.

  • Over all length is just under 12 inches, cutting edge just over 6.5 inches
  • Handle is textured African rosewood.  Contoured shape feels right in the hand. Copper pins.
  •  Heavy 10 oz. weight leather sheath is hand tooled and wet molded to this knife. Knife is secure and deeply seated in the sheath.
  • Includes sharpening strop
