I ground this from a 3/16th inch thick circular saw blade, it came from a lumber mill in southern Oregon 40 years ago, spectroscopy tested as 8670 tool steel.
Convex ground. Oil heat treated, tempered and etched to darken the steel. Rockwell is 59-60.
This modified kukri is 15 inches over all, the blade is 10 inches. 2 inches at widest point.
False top edge is 2.5 inches, leaves a lot of room for battoning.
The contoured handle is green canvas micarta with copper fittings.
Sheath is 8oz. weight Herman Oaks leather, knife fits very snugly and is made to be worn on the Left hip at a 45 degree angle.
