Recycled from a 3/16th inch thick circular saw blade, it came from a lumber mill in southern Oregon 40 years ago, spectroscopy tested as 8670 tool steel.
Convex ground. Oil heat treated, tempered and etched to darken the steel. Rockwell is 59-60.
15 inches over all, the blade is 9.75 inches. 2 inches at widest point.
False top edge is about 2.5 inches, leaves room for battoning.
The contoured handle is black canvas micarta with copper fittings.
Custom sheath is heavy 12 oz. weight premium leather, knife fits very snugly and is made to be worn on the Left hip at a 45 degree angle.
