1800's Damascus Hunter in rawhide
1800's Damascus Hunter in rawhide
This knife is sold.
Frontier Damascus skinner/hunter, hide glue and deer rawhide holds the 378 layer Damascus blade. I made the blade from 01 drill rod, mild steel and old circular saw steel. Handmade copper butt cap, brass tacks and trade beads adorn the whitetail antler handle.
Leather sheath is deer rawhide wrapped and hand sewn with linen.
Glass and brass trade beads with a rams horn tip as the centerpiece decorate this piece.
I custom made the leather lined shadow box for this piece, horse hoof nails hold the knife and sheath securely. The picture frame wire is on the back of the box so it's ready to go, you just need a nail to hang it up.
Knife is 10.5 inches long with a 5 inch blade, shadow box is 17H x 13.5W
