Just completed this sharp little blade is forged from drill rig cable. Used, dirty and rusty cable is cleaned up and hand forged to a nice little every day user. Oil hardened, tempered and acid etched brings out the individual strands of high carbon wire.
163 strand wire rope is from a North Dakota oil rig ( Patterson)
Over all length is 6 inches, cutting edge is just under 3 inches.
Handle is steer horn with raised and peened copper rod.
Hand tooled heavy leather sheath is wet formed to the knife for a snug fit.
