Custom chefs set in leather, Macassar ebony

Handmade from scratch using lumber mill circular saw steel (8670  carbon tool steel). Steel is reground, oil heat treated, tempered and etched. The steel is very similar to our Moms dark kitchen knives that worked so well, easy to sharpen and gets really sharp.

• Chefs knife is 11.25 inches over all, cutting edge is 6.5 inches long, the paring is 8.25 inches over all, cutting edge 3.75 inches.
• Handles are Macassar ebony from Southeast Asia, black liners with copper pins.
• Sheath is 10-12oz. weight leather, hand tooled and custom for this set. Includes sharpening strop, see  Sharpening on my Knife Care page.
