Handmade from scratch using lumber mill circular saw steel (8670 carbon tool steel). Steel is reground, oil heat treated, tempered and etched. The steel is very similar to our Moms dark kitchen knives that worked so well, easy to sharpen and gets really sharp.

Chefs knife is 11 inches over cutting edge is 6.5 inches long, the paring is 8.25 inches over all, cutting edge 3.75 inches.
Handle is exotic ziricote wood from Central America, a beautiful piece with lots of character. Black liners and copper pins.
Sheath is 8-9oz. weight leather, tooled and custom for this set.
