From my shop in the snow covered mountains of North Idaho. A collaboration with Master carver Paul Carrico, nationally known for his true to life wildlife carvings. No cast or resin here, this is the real thing, carved from stabilized walnut, on the butt end is a bearded mountain man with a badger skin hat and feather.
The knife I forged from 5160 spring steel, the tang is hot punched thru the solid copper guard and sealed with pitch glue.
The hand carved sheath with copper rivets, custom fit to the knife, made to carry on the Left hip for Right hand draw.
- Over all length is 17 inches, blade is 11.5 inches in length, 1/4 inch thick at the spine.
