Recycled from an older circular saw (8670 tool steel) from a mill in Southern Oregon, just under 3/16th thick, reground, oil heat treated, tempered and etched. Blade is flat ground with a convex edge, etch is permanent. Steel hardness 59-60 Rc.
Over all length is just under 12 inches, cutting edge 6.25 inches
Handle is textured S. American rosewood. Contoured shape feels right in the hand. Copper pins.
Heavy weight leather sheath is hand tooled and wet molded to this knife. Knife is secure and deeply seated in the sheath.
