Completely handmade from 1/8 inch thick circular saw steel (8670 tool steel), recycled from defunct North Idaho lumber mill. The steel is very similar to our mothers dark colored kitchen knives that cut so well.
  • A pleasure to use. As a past restaurant owner, I know how important it is to have a tool that makes daily chores easier. A fine convex edge, great for slicing and dicing vegetables and meat.
  • Previous customers say this knife becomes their favorite most used knife in the kitchen. You can spend the same amount or more on a Henckels or Wusthof but this knife will feel better in your hand and be much easier to keep sharp. A couple passes on the strop every week or two, takes about 10 seconds to keep it hair shaving sharp. See my sharpening instructions at CTKNIVES.COM. The sharpening strop comes with the knife.
  • The handle is stabilized Northwest Yew wood, found in the high mountains,  lots of color and character, a special piece taken from a 1.5 inch thick branch. Raised and peened brass pins.
  • Custom tooled 7-8oz weight leather sheath with copper rivets.   Mountains and conifer scene.
  •  Over all length 11.5inches. Blade is 2.125 inches wide. Cutting edge is 6.5 inches
